Kell,

I have created an entry for Triboniophorus graeffei here: http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/4960/
thus introducing the new family: Athoracophoridae

Before doing so I did a review of the orders. There seems to be a lot of confusion as to which Order the land snails and slugs belong. They were until recently mostly place in Stylommatophora, but the weight of opinion now seems to favour Pulmonata for all the families that we had listed as Stylommatophora. It is still far from clear, with both terms verying between Super-order, Order and Sub-order, but I have taken the decision to convert all the Stylommatophora in BugFiles to Pulmonata. There were 27 species so it was not too bad to convert them. If there had been many more I would have had to get Dave to do it!

I was then able to add your slug as Order Pulmonata and Family Athoracophoridae

once you have added your images, I will select one to illustrate the family in the index,

Ken ,

I have lived among these wonderful creatures now for 29 years .
This is the first time I have thought to take their Picture .
So far I only have Pic's of the darker ones .

Next time it rains I will get the Pinkish / Red ones .
As the Common name implies “ Red Triangle Slug ”
Till then , This will have to do .

Cheers Kell
