Cissus glabra

Robertstown, Australia(Zone 10a)

This is the start of another sequence of 4 photos. The pot in this photo is larger than the one holding the Petopentia, maybe about 14in/35cm across.

Edited to fix spelling.

These tiny flower buds and the touch sensitive tendrils give away this plants close relation to the grapevine.

Kaelkitty,

Very nice pictures and a nice plant. Could you show us the caudex as well?

Hi all, Here are some more pix. This first one I am very proud of, I had to take about 20 shots before I got one that showed these transparent drops clearly. They are not water, they are nectar from the flowers. It is very sweet and incredibly sticky. KK.

Edited to fix a spelling mistake.

Here is the whole plant. It is starting to head into dormancy now. One by one all of the leaves will dry up and fall off, leaving the caudex asleep for the winter. Often even the branch tips will come away as well. Once there are a few less leaves in the way I will be able to show you the caudex more easily. Yet again, even though it has flowered profusely I have no seeds to show for it. Does anyone on the forum know if Cissus plants are self-sterile?

TTFN, KK.
