Crocheted Confusion

It has been many years but decided to dig out the hooks and stuff. Found a pattern for a cute
zig-zag throw.
Everything is coming back except for the following ( in bold ) which I just do not comprehend

doing a decrease ....... ............
draw up loop in next sc - miss next sc - draw loop in next sc - yoh and draw through all 3 loops .....
Fine .. no problem ..... got it this far ...................

here is the booger .........................
sc2tog over next 3 sts made ????
....................... what is meant by stiches 'made'


this just does not compute . I have read it over and over
I feel so dumb ! ! ! !
