Ping: Farmerdill

Dayton, WA

Farmer, some time ago you told me which cultivar of Acorn Squash is the bush variety. I've misplaced that information and am asking for your help once again.

Thanks,
Bill

Thank you ever so much, Farmerdill! All I could remember was that it was a table something squash. Thank you for the other links as well. I grew the Carnival Acorn squash this last Summer, but they didn't produce anywhere near as well as the first time I grew that variety a couple of years ago. What fruits did grow were somewhat stunted. I dunno...win some, lose some.

Farmer,

Have you grown Table Ace? It is short vined with mostly crown set. The taste is great with sufficient fiber to keep it from being mushy.

No, Indy. I grow a few winter squash, but only get around to acorns every 5 years or so.
