Thank you Beth!
Very Beautiful is it an old print?
Reminds me a little of my Sprekelia!

Actually that IS a Sprekelia. It was originally described as Hippeastrum formosissimum in 1542 and the Genus Sprekelia was not created for it until 1748. The most exciting news about Sprekelia is that the genus is no longer a monotype. A new species, Sprekelia howardii Lehmiller was collected in 1996 in Mexico and formally described in 2000 in the journal Herbertia and the same researcher is of the opinion that there are more species out there yet to be described. An interesting thing is that Hippeastrum cybister was once placed in Sprekelia and then removed again. Also, several Hippeastrum X Sprekelia hybrids have been raised so it seems that the two genera are pretty closely related on a genetic level. Looks like we have some interesting new plants to look forward to! Bye for now, KK.

It looks like a Redoute print. I have several of those framed. It's a nice series with many Amaryllis.
