Help! I have scale all over my Oleanders and another plant with long skinny green leaves similar to a palm (photo attached). Does anyone know a way to get rid of scale other that scraping off each one? I don't have the time to physically scrape each scale off.
Scale
Horticultural oil, sprayed to cover leaves, top and bottom. Repeat a couple of times, about 10 days apart.
Scale is hard to combat. You have to be very alert. And they will not fall off when they die, so seeing them does not mean you have to continue to spray. Flick a few off with your fingernail, and if they are brown or black underneath, they are dead. They may eventually fall off from deterioration and weather. Watch for scale on new growth and stop them as soon as you see them...
Thank you very much for the advice.
