Starting a new thread for daily photos .....
I don't spend a lot of time photographing birds in my backyard. I'm usually off visiting other favorite birding sites. However, here are a few recent backyard photos that I was able to capture. This is a photo of a Cooper's Hawk sitting atop my bird feeder. He's one reason why I don't get a large variety of birds in my backyard.
DAILY PICS VOL. 29

Very nice pics wallaby!
Love the first Nuthatch pic indiana!
They are pretty sweet; aren't they?
They are sweet, and pigs too! This one stayed at the feeders for quite some time. Kinda looks like they are wearing tuxes, don't they? ;)
Yes it does!
I can send you some of my aggressive House Finch if you want the Nuthatch to spend less time at your feeders. ;-)
Pelle, you are more than generous with your offer. And I know deep in your heart, you'd offer your sparrows to me as well. But I think I'm more than covered in those areas. :) Since you've been so generous, how about some of my Starlings?
Not a good picture, but I know this time I did see a hawk, cause everyone scampered and he was flying solo....
Very nice pics Linth!
Gorgeous, Linth!!
Nice shot of the owls!
Beautiful pics Linth!
I especially love the Eastern Phoebe!
Okay, how about a little help from the warbler experts
Palm Warbler

A Greater Yellowlegs ... I think
Yep!
Thanks everyone for your comments. Resin, I appreciate your ID's.
This is a photo of a male Downy Woodpecker pecking away at the hole in my bird house.
Two years ago, I bought this bird house for under $5.00. It is actually a decorative bird house not really meant for outside. I drilled a 1" hole for the house wren and hung it under my deck. I have had nesting wrens in it for the last two years. A few weeks ago, we heard this pecking noise and I thought something was pecking away on my new deck. In fact, I kept hearing the noise but didn't know where it was coming from. Finally, I discovered the source of the noise.
Linth, love your pics of the Cooper's and your owls!!
