Okay - you guys are the experts. I have a purple blackcurrant swirl datura (well, 3) anyway - there are some HUGE seed pods on them - but we have now had 2 nights of frost.
Should I cut the pods and let them dry? Or move the plants (assuming they may have survived with radiant heat from the driveway) and keep them in the garage until the pods open?
Thanks in advance for your advice :-)
Collecting seeds
The pods sound like they are ready to split .. if the plants are still viable then move then into the garage .. if not, then cut the stem with the pods on it and hang it upside down. Make sure you put some panty hose around the pod in case it explodes when it opens.

Plants are still thriving on the driveway - dodged the frost bullit last night.
I will move these to the garage, and stick some stockings on the pods. Honestly, they have been almost 2.5 inches in diameter for more than a month
Look carefully at them, sometimes it's hard to see a split if they are well hydrated.

I will check - they do seem very solid right now.
