Does anyone know of a clematis list that shows their pruning group? I need some group 1's, but I sure don't want to have to go thru every clematis in the plant files to find them.
Group 1 Clematis list?
dont know of a list although there probably is one .
C. alpina hybrids, C. macropetalia and C.koreana species and hybrids are all Group A /1. (I think the C. Montana are also but not sure as we cant grow them here)
Some of the alpinas are: Constance, Flamingo, Frncis Rivas, Frankie, Helsingborg, Jacqueline du Pre, Odorata, Pamela Jackman, Ruby and Willy.
macropetalias: Blue Bird, Lagoon, Jan Lindmark, Joe Zary, Maidwell Hall, Markhams Pink, Purple Spinder, Rosy O'Grady, White Swawn
( just took these names of list I have from a local gardener)

You can use the search function on COTW aka Clematis on the Web..put the petal color of your choice in the Tepal and then put pruning group 1 where it says Pruning group and it will show you a list and pics...Hope this helps...Jeanne
