too early for daffs?

Dallas, GA(Zone 7b)

I dug up some daffodil bulbs from a window box. They look nice and healthy and already have lots of white roots. I want to replant them in a different box with some pansies but don't know whether it's still too warm here in Georgia to start watering them They were kept pretty dormant all summer -- not watered (at least not by me, and not much by mother nature). If I plant them now with pansies, I'll need to be watering them (I have a well, btw) Is this too soon for them, considering how mild it still is this October? Thanks!

I've got tons of daffs and other bulbs that I'm going to plant when the night temps are consistantly 50 degrees.
I'm thinking about going ahead and start planting some of them now. Since I do have 1,000+ bulbs, it's going to take me several weeks anyway. They do need watering regularly from planting time & over the winter months for good root growth. (summer almost no water needed) I'd say plant now with your pansies. They can establish a good root system together.
