I have recently started an interior design course and wood pops up absolutely everywhere... now, I know nothing about wood, but I think that I should at least know some basic things because, as I've said, it's everywhere.
I need to find out what kind of wood my door is made of for an assignment due in pretty soon.. I have googled different types of wood, but I'm still at a loss.... I'm thinking maybe maple or cherry? But still... I'm completely clueless.
If anyone could let me know what kind of wood this is I would be extremely greateful... and if possible, could you tell me what charecteristics indicate the type of wood, so that I know next time I come across it?
