We have a passiflora that is covered with fritillary cats. When I looked this morning, there are hanging chrysalides all over the place - in very precarious positions, like hanging from the tip of the fragile stems and the structure the plant is growing on. There is very little left of the plant. Are these likely to survive? We only have the one passion vine. I'm taking a hands off approach to this, but might have to reconsider if the plant is going to look like this all the time. Rather than destroying cats all the time, I'd replace the plant with another vine, or perhaps grow another over it. Has anyone in my area done this?
Hanging chrysalides [is that the right word?]
