Nthn. Sydney, Australia(Zone 6a)

wow...hey thankyou everyone!
i wasn't expecting any comments!
thanks very much, for your positive words.
gardens do inspire art,
and nurturing of beauty in life.
Gardening has been a large part
of my spirit evolution,
and the painting..has been a challenge,
after 17 years at it, i sometimes get it.

Well, if you wanted to see another,
this Bearded Iris - Moon Dawn,
it's first bloom for me, photographed in dawn light.

and a painting,
duske, which sees the light,
at the other side of day.

thanks friends,

Really beautiful piece:) I really like your painting style.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

The color of the iris is in the painting. Was the iris a color inspiration for the painting? Beautiful, both of them!

Wainwright, AB(Zone 2b)

Nthn. Sydney, Australia(Zone 6a)

many thanks everyone!
your comments were great to read.
the Iris 'Black Ware' did seem to have a psychic link
to the painting emerging,..though i was thinking more,
one of those blackish Frittilaria lilys..in the painting.
the painting took about 3 days, and then the Iris bloomed..
it shares the colors..i definately feel,
gardens influence your life.
i know its a healthy thing to love nature at some level.
we gardeners are sort of Earth's bees.
ever tried to cross pollinate an Iris?
they're getting more action than i am!

so, thanks DG folks.
it was a lovely suprise to see you all.
a last one for now, bye
arte.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

I think it would be wonderful to have a garden in Australia so I could experience spring iris bloom twice a year. You are a very talented artist.

Nthn. Sydney, Australia(Zone 6a)

that would be something,
gardening in both hemispheres!
i think i'd like two Autumns a year,
and no Summer!
it's too hot down here for me.
:)
thankyou for your positive words friends.
