magic bean!

I guess i dropped this castor bean sometime inside the GH
This thing is HUGE compared to the beanz i planted outside!
It grew in the corner all summer long- I kinda like it there! LOL

That is so cool! I've never seen one bloom. I tried them a few times , but never got over a couple of feet tall. Do you start them all inside first?.

the biggest ones i ever grew were started inside early-ive tried outside in the spring and they dont get very tall!!! So from now on i will start them early

I'll have to try that. I live in a valley and I'm a zone 4, so things are a bit limited here. This year I lost my impaitents in front of the house to frost in JULY. It's funny, only three miles away they are a 5, so things that don't do well here, I give to my friend down the road. (She has lots of nice plants and bushes now)

I love castor beans. I grew some a couple of years ago Dori that got huge like yours. Everyone in my neighborhood wanted seeds. They had never seen one get so big. That looks like a very happy plant:)
