I made the mistake about 5 years ago of planting trumpet vines to cover an arbor I had built. They have taken over my back yard since then. How can I get rid of them? I am sure I will have to dig up the originals too, but does anyone know of a way, outside of digging the entire yard up, or getting rid of them?

Have you tried RoundUp? Spray all of the green leaves with this, and be VERY careful not to get it on anything you want to keep. It's deadly.
