3 different grubs in below pictures

Berkeley, CA(Zone 9a)

When is a grub a "bad" or "good" grub? Or, are all of them not great for the garden? Over the past year, I have found the following grubs in various parts of my garden. Usually, each kind is not amongst the others. The white ones were all around a sedum. Any help is appreciated.

I can't ID your grubs, but I do know that grubs are the larval stage of beetles. Some nibble on roots, others are borers in trees. Yours are in the ground and so they feed on roots. How much damage is done is dependent on the number of grubs feeding. When I find them in my garden, I throw them on my driveway for the birds to eat.
