Great stuff! I am loving all the colors.

ngam, thats one beautiful dahlia. Who needs more when the one you have is stunning!
Kassia, lovely pics. I think the one planted form seed is a blackberry lily.
Pirl, your dahlia's are gorgeous and look so big. How tall are they?

This is supposed to be Rose of Sharon "Red Heart" and i've waited 16 months for it to bloom, only to find out it's not Red Heart!!!!

Beautiful shots - great Dahlia pics.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

beautiful pics everyone!

Kassia - I think that is Blackberry Lily. My Candy Lily was finished a while back.

Arlene, I agree with you that the Dahlia's are lovin' the cooler weather.
Al - as usual you have out done yourself again.

amethystsm - love the cosmos and gazania are one of my favorites!

That is gorgeous! How big are the blooms?

Van Etten, NY(Zone 5a)

About an inch. There are lots of flowers on each plant.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

thanks, anita!

the wind yesterday was really hard on my cosmos - uprooted one in front of my house, and broke big pieces off the summer dreams - i think i lost 1/4 to 1/3 of them at least. The metal stakes i was using bent. It also tore one of my strawflowers out of the ground, pulled a narrow bamboo stake out of the ground, and broke marigolds and mums.

it was a sad day in the garden - i'm glad i took so many pictures when i did!

Do you have any pics of your blue pimpernels? i was SO jealous when you said you were growing them!

Thanks, bebop. I have a similar one in lavender but yours is prettier - more vibrant!

Nice dianthus bebop.

Amy I lose cosmos every year, sometimes I can prop them back up.

here is a midseason seeding flop. These tri colored daisies needed ALL season to flower I guess.

Deb, that's very cute!

bebop, very pretty dianthus. I love them.

Al, I'm sorry to see the helenium go. It will really break my heart when a frost gets the dahlias. I like the fountain grass.

I finally got another flower on the species dahlia.
