Thanks in advance. Considering how much crazier the weather has been around here in recent years, I'm aware of the limitations of such a thing, but - still - I went pretty crazy myself with unusual species & Japanese morning glories this year. I don't see how I could harvest all the pods on whatever random day before night of probable frost. So, I'm thinking of starting 10 days before a forecast frost date of cutting some stems with green pods to ripen in jars of water, rather than wait till last minute to do it all at once. The process of harvest will be slowed by some vines being tangled with neighbors and keeping pods related to coded vines so I can maintain true cultivars.
For many years, frost came regularly between Oct 18 & Oct 22. Since then, it's varied from earlier in October to quite a range in November.
Does anyone know of a national frost forecast map?
Found it over in Garden Talk - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/775758/
But still, would like to see this in map form - anyone know?

Did that help - I'm deleting older threads this morning, if it did not help I will keep looking.
