All of the Mums I planted last year, I cut back a few times and they have almost all grown wider with sprouts coming up all around the original plant. I see buds as well - with a few already blooming. They were about 15 inches tall last year (mounded) and now they are all only about 3 inches and not mounded at all, they are more spreading than anything. Did I cut back too low? Darn it, I was told to cut them way down and I think it was too far of a cut.
