My squash had 5 stink bugs on it. Help..

When I walked out I found 5 stink bugs (i think they were) on my squash. Big ones. How do I get rid of them.? I was grossed out after I squashed one of them. Then they would fly around me playing chicken and ran me in the house. They knew.. :) So now they must die but how?

I forgot to ask really what do they do to plants anyway? I am thinking they are bad bugs... I hope I am not wrong.. :))

probably squash bugs and yes if left unchecked they will do a great deal of harm to a squash plant. I find strong garlic sprays will send them running be sure and spray the base of the plant.
