We live in central california. For about a month they turned yellow (they still are) but they are still producing fruit..just not as much as when they first started. There are none of the little black bugs I was whining about in my last post on the tomatoe plants. The growth looks spindly too but they are still hanging on. Is there anything i should do to help them or do all tomatoe plants turn this way near the end of the summer? Thanks.. I don't know if its temperture or what but we do have cold nights w/lots of wind and hot days. (but not cold enough to frost or anything).
why did my tomatoe plants turn yellow?
There are over 50 reasons why your plant turned yellow,
Viral, Fungal and Bacterial diseases, and physiological problems.
Key to narrowing the problem down is a good description
of how the leaves wnt from green to yellow.
And was the yellow a light yellow or dark yellow?
Was there any problems in the grow points?
Spots, Brown yellow or black? roughly where on leaves?
Center~ margins ~ tips.
Any spots on stems or fruits?
