Senecio confusus 'Sao Paulo'

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

The flowers on this senecio are abit redder than the regular one. Got a rooted cutting in Spring and it's finally blooming. Buds were forming outside for along time but didn't really start to open until I brought it into the house.

The stems and leaves have a purplish color to them. When the bud is forming you can see the red color more pronounced.

Here's a close up of the flower.

That one is gorgeous. I planted one this spring and it grew tall at first I really wondered about this long single stem vine. It has since sent out a couple more branches from the soil. It never did bloom for me this year guess it was too busy getting established at the roots,, and we did have a very cool summer. It was so cool a lot of things didn't get to bloom. It will stay in the ground here and hopefully next year I will see some pretty flowers.

Thanks for sharing the photos I am looking forward to them.
