I see several other folks on this forum are fans of thrift-store glass lamp parts. I've had mine out in the garden for years with candles in them, but they always get filled up with junk over the winter, and it's hard to light the candles.
This summer, I told DH I wanted something solar. So he went to Lowe's and got cheap solar light fixtures & modified them so they would fit over the openings of my glass pieces. Now they light up automatically every night!
When they're all lit up, our back yard looks like a landing station for alien spacecraft, but I love it! Here are a few photos:
