What a sweet bird! I don't know why I like them so much...

Maybe it is their beautiful color. At first they look just beige, but they really are iridescent and have many colors.

They always seem a little "tame", or at least not as afraid of humans as other birds.

We have so many of them! I love their bobbing heads and the way they start chasing each other around. They make us smile and laugh. Every morning when I go out to fill up the feeders, they are on the roof of the house looking down at me. They patiently wait until I go inside, then the food bag is on.

During the afternoon they love to lay under our table and watch their world go by.
