I have entered this in the county fair and thankfully, won best in class. I also entered a crocheted tree skirt (which I don't have a finished picture of) that, ironically, beat this out in the competition and won grand prize for the Division. I'm a little surprised.
I won't know the judges comments until Friday but I'll bet that these are my problems:
I'm self taught from the internet and don't know how to block properly -
because of the blocking problem, it caused a matting problem. Notice the difference in squares in the corners? DH matted and framed and he is usually really good at this....I tend to think this was my problem. Could have been that we enjoyed a glass more of vino than we should have. LOL.
Any advice from the experts is most appreciated. Help me block, please.
