Soap is white & brittle outside & creamy & lavender inside

I made a batch with just olive oil, shortening and castor oil. I put in lavender EO and lavender mica. The soap was very hard to cut and broke apart at the edges. I just grated to rebatch and it was white and brittle on the outside and a nice texture and the correct color on the inside. Is this okay to rebatch or do I have to lose the entire batch?
