"Three Kings" First Bloom

Yardley, PA

Wow. This is my first bloom on my "Three Kings." I think it supposed to get 3 different flowers. This first one is a beauty. I am not sure what is prettier. The front or the back.

Three Kings is what's known as a changeable.

Depending on conditions, the flowers will start with a white center, and a light pink margin. As the flower ages, the pink will bleed down into the white, turning the whole flower pink, and it will then darken to red before dying back.

On mature plants, you'll have flowers in various stages of change, thus the 3 colors, and the name Three Kings.

Yours is looking very nice.

I had three kings once upon a time. Lost it in one of the hurricanes after a tree fell. Reminds me that I need to get another. Chris, do you have any on your website presently?
