Can anyone tell me what this is, and what do I do?
Can it be saved or does is has to be discarded. The bulbs included?

Hi - A lot of my glads did the same thing this year. I was so disappointed with them. I wrote in an described what had happened and the only response that I received thought that it might be thrips. I need to find out how to treat for thrips and hope that it doesn't happen again next year.

I hope that someone comes along and will tell us what this might be and what to do for it.

Yes it is very disappointing to see this, as I´ve been looking forward to se it bloom.
If it is strips I believe soap water and cleaning up the area shall to the trick. But it will not help this year flowers :o(((

Been looking for some info about trips and gladioli.
It seems that watering frequently is a good idea, as they prefer a dry environment. But will this encourage rust? If I remember it right they like it moist?
Anyway, I´ll try and give them a wash down with the hose today and then spray with soap water every other day. Hopefully this will work.

oh but I do hope you don´t get this. It is really disappointing.
