What WONDERFUL photos of your garden, Kassia! I want to be there! I think my favorite is the cosmo picture. All that lush green and brilliant purple together!

Congratulations! Did the caladium do anything for you? Mine is so pink! May I post it here please? (not waiting for an answer)

Kassia - how has Night Owl performed for you? Disease resistance?
And how old is the plant? (grafted vs own-root)
I missed the boat on ordering it early spring.
Oh well - there's still more time left in life. LOL- I'll make up for it by ordering 3!

the biggest dahlia I have.... I think it should be way darker than that!!!

Katye, so far they are doing great.... I have 4... 2 grafted (local nursery) and 2 own roots (Roses Unlimited and Northland rosarium) the 1st pic is own roots.... the 2 is one of the graphed one... they are all with a lillte bit of black spot... but they are vigorous planst... and I planted them 5 months ago....

I have Clair Matin - but it has not bloomed much due to a lack of summer sun & heat.
I don't think the past couple months actually qualified as "Summer".
I planted Clair last October (own-root). she is now 4' tall & just took off. i guess that is the upside to fewer flowers: looks like all the energy went to canes.
I also planted Darlow's Enigma - white & some fragrance, going gangbusters.
Champagne Cocktail & Julia Child just arrived last week, so it's time to order more!

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

nice!
I'd really like a hedge of them - love that colour.
Such a conflict between Roses & Clematis; you know - who gets trellis space?
So I plant them together and let them figure it out while I concentrate on next year's Dahlia beds...
Of course the Lilies will be up in arms...what to do, what to do?

well, the beauty of pictures is that I choose the nice spots to show!!!! but like I tell my family my garden is like my life.... good nice spots and not so good ones!!! but I am happy with the results... I learned a lot and I almost feel restless and I an dying for next Spring so I can plant more dahlias and fix all the stupid things I did... I need to put on some new lawn really bad!!!!

thanks for all the support!!!!
