I have no affiliation with this company, just thought I would pass on the great prices they have. It seems that they are getting older and trying to cut down their stock a bit to make is easier to handle...they now have hundreds, not all are listed! Enjoy looking anyway! LOL

Thanks Chris, you are so sweet! I will let you know when I am going to get them. We haven't set the date as of yet, the heat is playing an important factor for me.

Peachtree City, GA(Zone 7b)

Gee Wheez, Chris. I wish I had seen this thread sooner, or I would have d-mailed you to meet me in Peachtree City and ride over to Roscoe/Newnan with me. You are within a rocks throw to them. Mr. Denney has some $0.50 fans that I didn't have a chance to look at. He'd rather sell them than plant them so you may want to give him a call tomorrow. He home-schools his grands but I did catch him by phone around 12:00 several days ago. I know he's available for sure after 2:00.
Also, I believe his clump sale continues into October. Next weekend the town is having some sort of festival. Wish I could go back then but it's just too far for me.
I had my son with me and he wasn't thrilled with the idea of going to a daylily farm so I didn't wander around to look at the display gardens like I wanted to. We did sit under the shade next to his rustic potting shed and talked a bit.
He sells more than just daylilies. He feels his biggest draw are ornamental grasses which he divides and sells in Feb. He also grows Japanese Maples among other plants. He does mail orders too. Seeing his farm was an enjoyable experience though. It's out in the boonies, however, like a lot of the countryside in the area, it's being zoned single family residential. He's hoping to hang on to their farm as long as he can since it's been in the family for several generations.
Such a nice family to do business with. I enjoyed our visit and I'm very impressed with the daylilies I purchased.

Oh bummer, I would have taken the ride with you even if it was just to look. My internet has been out since Sundays storm, just got it back now. I have a bit of paperwork to catch up on but maybe I will stop at his nursery next week. I have so much stuff to plant that I started clippings of about 6-8 weeks ago, but has been too hot and I figured they would have just died. Maybe we will get together on your next trip.

chris
