Any tricks to planting a new Canna plant?

I just got my first Canna - Australia - in the mail, in perfect condition, about 4-5 leaves, and bareroot.

I'm new to Cannas so is there anything special I need to know?

I can't think of anything special you need to know. After planting mine I do keep them watered well.
