Questions about echinacea 'Jade'

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Anyone growing this one? I would like a green-eyed one and I like the look of this one better than the pink one. Is it a good grower and how tall and wide etc. does it really get? Where can you purchase it? Is there a reason it is hard to find? Any others that are better or you would recommend? Pics are good too. :) Thanks.

Good questions. I know that Al has the answer, since he posted one previously.

It is more rare that's for sure. I did see it at one seller this year, but not as much as years past. Plantspotters plants were fairly well distributed too. Mine has struggled this year and is about 6" tall, but is budding. Last years:

The color of it is very similar to Coconut Lime, but has a shorter more compact growth habit.
What did you find online for sellers?

I was wondering if most of usual places didn't have it was because there was a problem with it. This is the only place I could find it for mail order, not one of my usual vendors. Did you get yours locally or on line? http://www.dutchbulbs.com/bulbs/coneflower-jade/index.html I like 'Coconut Lime' very much and it is the same coloring, seems to be a strong grower for its first year here. Which of the other white echinaceas would you say is the most vigorous and dependable?

Any one growing Fancy Frills? This one sold out from my vendor so was wondering if any one has it this season. So many pretty new ones, I think I will need a garden extension. Again. :)

I got my Jade locally, the Plantspotter's line is usually available.

I don't know why Jade isn't more common - I don't think they sell plugs to many wholesalers.

I have Fancy Frills opening up for the first time - I first bought it in 9/05 ;(
I would say that that one is the most rare of all of them right now.

Is this a drooping petal flower? Some pictures showed it as such, but the descriptions elsewhere indicate it is not.

Jade droops yes. If you wanted flat and white then Fragrant Angel would one.
