I take it you grew the Kwai Muk? How does it deal with your winters?

A friend of mine grows it. He said when he didn't have the plastic covering the greenhouse the 4" trunk froze back to around 4 feet. He grows it in the ground in the GH and keeps the GH covered. He has been getting fruit off of it every year including the year it froze back. He says it would probably die if the temps got down to 28 to 30 degrees without protection. I am going to try to grow it the same way I grow my papaya's by protecting part of the truck and of course the roots. We have had temps down as low as 26 degrees where I am at.
