raspberry advice requested

I garden in zone 6b. I want to move into growing fruit at my school's garden and thought to start with raspberries. curious to hear nuggets of wisdom... varieties, planting, care, pests.....

I have some wonderful, thornless blackberries that I could send you cutting from - but no raspberries.

Is Spetember Ok for planting?

We-l-l-l - I would think so -even though I don't have raspberries. I give people starts of my blackberries in the fall for planting and they do fine.
