Thanks for starting the new thread Resin.

Nice pics guys!

Okay sybil, I'm back. ;-)

I hope we get to ask questions.

Is the pouch something for wildlife at all? A simple yes or no will do. :-)

Melbourne, FL

Just a couple pics from today. A Collared Dove first up.

Nice pics GP!

Melbourne, FL

Thanks, Pell....not happy with the unsharp Woodpecker shot, but I'm a little out of practice. Not much picture-taking during the summer heat. Looking so forward to the fall and winter bird season here in Florida!

pelletory: I thought this discussion was dead and yet, it's not!

That depends on how you define wildlife. But, sure.

Marlton, NJ

Me too!! We've had terrible humidity w/ high temps lately.

Marlton, NJ

Alright sybil I'll let it go. :-(

Brainerd, MN

You don't have to. But, since you have been so persistent...it's simple really. We have a drought in our area. I can't remember the last time we had siginificant rainfall - last year sometime and maybe twice at most.

This spring we had an infestation of two different types of worms that ate most of the leaves on the crabapple trees, birch and numerous other trees around. Many of the trees in our yard are over 40 years old. In the surrounding area, who knows how old.

The trees managed to releaf this summer and brought back some shade. However, they have not had enough water to sustain them and I am very concerned for their survival.

So, the red pouch has prayers for the trees in it.

God bless them that they might recover.

Marlton, NJ

Same here. Will add them to my prayers.

Well tree troubles was my next quess but I wouldn't have gotten the contents of the pouch.

I do hope things turn for the better. :-)

Brainerd, MN

You are a very funny person.

Hi guys: I haven't been taking many pics this summer, so I've just been lurking a bit and enjoying everyone's pictures. Only the past few days when it's just been soooo hot that I'm not spending as much time in the garden, have I just sat and watched the birds. The usual suspects hanging about, but this year we seem to have many more House Finches than last year.
Here's a Nuthatch,,,not the greatest shot, but, like Gardenpom, I think I'm out of practice. :)

Guess I'm gonna have to get a peanut feeder, as I sure envy you folks all the WP visitors.

Seems the only birds I can get decent pix of lately is the hummers.

That's a fabulous shot of a hummer!

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

Tigerlily: I wouldn't be sorry about only getting the hummer pics! :) That's a really, really good shot. All my attempts at our Ruby Throats are iridescent green blurs.

I LOVE that I can get the hummer images, but sure wish some of the other birds would slow down, or not get so deeply into the conifers. There are lots of Orioles here, and I get so frustrated.........

I can always shoot (camera only, of course!) the jays and goldfinches, but I really want the more elusive ones. LOL

Marlton, NJ

Really nice pics guys!

Deb, Love the Nuthatch!

Tiger- Great pic of the Hummer!

Sybil, I'm going to guess and say its a juvenile male Yellow bellied Sapsucker.

Resin, what do you think?
