What am I doing wrong

My New England Aster looks awful...any ideas on what I am doing wrong? The leaves are turning yellow and dying. I have it in partial shade. Morning sun afternoon shade.

Mine do that every year, it worries me, but I think it's a seasonal thing and they are fine. Who you got - Alma P.?

You know it.LOL I checked mine and there is a little yellowing - not too much yet, but judging by your mum you are ahead of me.

if it's been hot, it's probably just heat stress

It has been VERY hot here. With high humidity. I hope that is just it. It is suppose to rain tonight and that usually lets it let up on the heat. I hope that does it. I was hoping for a flush of pink flowers. One of my mums is blooming like crazy and the other just has tons of buds. Funny isn't it. Must be where they are planted? This is all new to me.

they're probably happier in grass, the grass keeps the ground cooler. but they should do ok if they have enough water. i have a sunflower that is doing the same thing.
