The leaves on my Cattleya are starting to turn a dark brown. What happened? I have had it since March of this year and it has been in the same place the whole time-in my living room with my south-facing window. Last week I noticed the first rhizome-the smallest-had lost a leaf and the other leaf was brown and when I picked it up, it fell off. Now, the rhizome behind it is turning brown, along with the leaves on that rhizome. I repotted it about a month ago because it had new growth on it-it was only a slightly bigger pot. It has been doing fine until now-what happened?

It is hard to tell from your description. Could be lack of water, too much water, too much sun?
