Computer won't startHelp

I was wondering if anyone could help me solve this problem with our computer ( I am on the old slow one now), When I turned it on it does not start. The light on the mother board inside comes on when plugged in but the computer will not start and run. I tried putting in a brand new power supply and fan but it still wont come on. Any other ideas of what else I could try?
