So, DD's vet had commented to DD not to continue to feed grain to Maya if she was because of her size, for fear of epiphysitis.
Which has me thinking.... (hey, it can happen)...
Anywho, when I go to feed Alee in the am and pm I reserve a handful of whole oats for Stormy, which he usually cleans up pretty well. I had read in Blessed are the Broodmares that if you can get the babies to eat grain it avoids anemia that they often get early on. It's not much, and I had read that whole oats really don't have much in the way of nutrition .... but do you think I should stop? Cut back? Feed him something even more innocuous? Like what?
