Is that a lavender edging? Is it growing in shade as it appears in the picture?

I agree with Henryi. Some have the lavender hue when first opening, mine did.

That doesn't look like Henryi. The petals on teh flower are different. Looks more like a very pale lavender blue. Blue Angel likes some shade, Claire de Lune. Check out Brushwood Nursery or Chalk Hill Clematis.

My best guess Henryi it is not. Henryi is pure white, but it could change due to your conditions. The petal shape of the flower gave it away, different.
