Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?

Churchill, Victoria, Australia(Zone 10a)

We have Superb Fairy-wrens, also known as Blue-wrens (Malurus superbus) displaying to their reflections in the windows all round the house. Today they were at our bed-room window and the sun was on them as well, so I had a try at some photographs. The window must act like a one-way mirror, because I was able to get so close I took these pictures at a range of 12 inches, using my macro lens (no need for a telephoto).
Here is the female blue-wren (who has no blue on her at all), admiring her image in the glass!

That is absolutely delightful! Great photography and what a darling bird!

and here is her mate, who is in his winter (eclipse) plumage. He has a blue tail and some blue on his shoulder, and no rusty-red on his face and beak. In a month or two he will look very different and very spectacular.
