An Annabelle relative, and hardy for us northerners. This is described as 'victorian looking'. I love it. In it's 4th year it's about 6'X8'.
White Dome
Polly, that's a very lovely photo. It does look victorian, like lace. I didn't know that a hyd would get that big in 4 years. I bet it is quite stunning
Sharon.
Polly, where do you have it? Part shade? Full shade? How deep if full? Thanks.
Thanks Sharon. It's an extremely fast grower in part shade. It was from a 4 in pot, origionally.
Victor, I have some in part shade, and some in full sun. I don't suspect it would do well in full shade.
And it never flops.
I have Annabelle in Full Shade and it does great.
Well, maybe White Dome would also take full shade. I would suspect it would not bloom as well. The origionator--Spring Meadows--suggestions are full sun to part shade. I also grow Annabelle in full sun. These hydrangeas are pretty versatile.
My Annabelles in shade are in a bright shade. And they get some late day direct sun, but it would be a stretch to call it part shade. I will be removing a tree right over them so they will have more sun next year.
I do have some White Dome in a deep shade area. They grow but no blooms. Again, I will be removing a tree there as well so hopefully next year!
