Help with a doll pattern.

I want to make a mammy doll for a friend. I can handle the clothing but I need a pattern for a head, torso and arms.

The face will need to be flat but with enough shape so I can form the eyes, nose and mouth from embroidery. The back of the head needs to be round so I can add curly black hair with a scarf to hold it up.

Any ideas where to get a pattern? I went to Wal-mart, JoAnns and Hancock fabrics and looked through every pattern book they have for a doll. NOTHING. I use to have a pattern for a doll that was used as a cover for a standup vacuum. Think I could find it. Of course not.

I would like the doll to stand at about 30in so you have an idea of the size of head in relation to the total height.
