Rest in peace, Beverly Sills

Many of you are likely familiar with Beverly Sills the Iris:

Some may not know the real Beverly Sills; a famous opera
soprano who passed away a few days ago.

Though her true name was Belle Miriam Silvan, she was
known as "Bubbles" by many.

The lady was a brave spirit in spite of the hand she was dealt in life on health issues.

Wuvie, That is a nice tribute to "Bubbles". Even I, who am tone deaf, found her a joy in voice and spirit. I think I will have to plant that iris in her honor. Patti

I used to have the iris 2 gardens ago. I was sad to hear of her death. She was more than a wonderful singer. I always loved her empathy and warmth whenever she hosted musical events. She was such a presence in the world of music with great integrity and grace. It's hard to believe she is gone.

She did great things for the companies she managed after her singing career was over, too.
