Moose Jaw"s Severe Weather Storm (today) :'(
View from our rented veggie patch.........
I think I'm going to give up on Gardening.........
Moving in.......
Holy Makerel! Those are HUGE!
oh my! You've had way too much excitement for one day Pam! I can't really tell from your pic, but how are your veggies overall? I've never seen hail like that before...yikes!
Erynne
Oh No!!! Those are some very devastating photos Pam! I'm so sorry! :(
Oh Lilypon!! That is a seriously bad day!!
Thanks Joan! I'm feeling pretty down too right now.
Yeppers :(((( ........and Hey and Hi Chele!
Oh my gosh, I've never seen anything like that hailstorm before. Excellent documentation of it all.
Snowrose the last time Moose Jaw had one like this was 55 years ago (whilst trying to get home all the old-timers had to call that out to us)........as they were shoveling out their yards.
Needless to say the Insurance Company will be visiting our yard (and inspecting our NEW :(( shingles) shortly.
The movie company was filming in Moose Jaw's central park today and was supposed to start filming in our yard later this week. Gotta see how this is going to work out.
Other than devastating hail, how's life??
Most of it will be shot in our garage though.......one minor blessing for the above mentioned film crew. ;S
We are all healthy :D.........though DH has a bruise on his shoulder from the hail hitting him.
Amazing!
OMG! A bruise from hail??? You better wear a helmet if you go out!
It looks like the veggies in your rented patch will heal up and be okay. However those in your yard won't :(
Truly it was deadly out there Chele....if I could upload a video I'd show you what my son took (a couple of shovel fulls of hail came down our fireplace's chimney so he took video in hand to capture what was happening outside).
Here's the best looking water lily leaf in my pond....
(thankfully the flower buds are all still below the surface).
I agree re home plot Joan. :'(
What a documentary you have given us despite your horrible loss..........i am feeling quite sad for you as I have never witnessed hail this big in my 65 years of living.
You might consider going to UTube with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so sorry about your garden at home Pam but I'm glad to hear your rented plot is going to be okay (it looks purdy big)!! Geez, those skies look so menacing; I get the willies just looking at them.
Talk about whacko weather events eh!
That is just horrible! I've never seen hail that large. I think the largest I saw was about quarter size just as a tornado was coming when I was about 7. It's fairly common to see dime sized hail in bad storms here.
Gessie if I can figure out how I'll do it......however it'll prolly be a couple of weeks from now.
Chele we've had baseball sized hail drop here before but thankfully not this time. The largest today were around golf ball size.....it was seeing the incredible amount that fell all at once that was so amazing.
It would be an instant hit!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a rare view of nature....
Erynne I'm very grateful for the smaller amount that fell at the rented patch (while the hail was much larger over there it sure didn't do the damage that the smaller hail did here).
BASEBALL?? Holy cow! I'm very glad you were not hurt!
