July's Coffee

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

I cannot believe it's July already. I'm taking a 5 minute break to replenish coffee and to order more snake repellent. Gotta keep my little friends away from the patio and back door....just in case.... . For those interested, I found this information about New York Snakes. http://www.esf.edu/pubprog/brochure/snakes/snakes.htm and http://wildlifecontrol.info/ccewdmp/Publications/Snakes_factsheet.pdf - obviously, if you know me, you also know I obsess about these guys. For those interested in repelling them, this website has a great product. http://www.liquidfence.com/ .

Anyhoo - is this a georgeous day or what? I've been out since 7am and am so happy at the progress in the weeding. It's amazing what will grow in 2 weeks. I got no yard work done last weekend as I have company and parties to go to. I am so glad I declined all invites for today. I've already harvested several zucchini's and I have a bunch of tomatoes that I can't wait to ripen and eat! This morning I started looking for some Lilies to order for fall planting. What a choice and range of prices. What is everyone's favorite site for ordering Lilies - I'm looking for some tall ones that bloom now and in the end of July/August. I have a nice big hole in the back bed.

Well - don't want to miss out on anymore outside time. Enjoy your day everyone and check in with you later!

that is great - I was thinking about getting into 'waste management' and could use some storage space.

Al, as long as your waste blooms and grows tall - I'll take it! ;)

Michaela, I wondered what Canada Day was and googled it - for those that don't know http://www.pch.gc.ca/progs/cpsc-ccsp/jfa-ha/canada_e.cfm . Our Celebration is this Wednesday - yipee - may we never have war on our soil again!

Nor, as a gardener, IN our soil!! Anita, for Lilies, as well as bulbs in general, I love Brent and Becky's. Happy Canada Day to our northern neighbors, eh!

They are super to deal with too. Great customer service. Last time I looked, they had 100% positives on GW.
