Cool Breeze - cuke

I am growing Cool Breeze for the 1st time.

Fuzzy whisker like things all over....
The texture is kind of bumpy and I feel like I will develop warts from touching them...LOL.

And here is my Sweet Success - my favorite cuke. You can grow them to be much bigger, but I eat them when they are pretty small.

Southern Mountains, GA(Zone 6b)

I grew cool breeze last year, it is crispy and very mild in flavor. The skin is thin too. A nice cucumber.

Mine are still germinating! Just up. I'm jealous, but that's Berkeley!

It sounds like I am ahead of many people. Yep, I can imagine, roseone, that Berkeley weather is a bit cooler than mine.

Ozark, MO(Zone 6a)

I picked my first four cukes today, only 52 days after planting. They're Marketmore 76, and we had 'em for supper - sliced with onions in ice-cold vinegar and water. Other dishes were our first green beans of the year and garden zucchini fried in olive oil.

Good summertime eating that I've missed.
