What's blooming today # 3

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

Oh wow, am I having trouble keeping up! and I have to read the whole thread because I'm afraid I'll miss something LOL all I can say is wonderful, wonderful!! so many great plants & pics :0) I'm still digging and planting (both roses and wintersown seedlings).

I have this wonderful yellow asiatic lily in my garden...huge flower...beautiful glowing color. only problem is, I've never bought any yellow lilies. guess I'll have to wait until everything blooms to see what else I have before I complain. but ain't it purty?

now this one, also very pretty, is supposed to be 'Gran Paradiso', which is a deep orangey red, according to John Scheeper's web site.

Hi, Victor. Looks like you've got a color theme going. Very nice.

I just went outside to try to get a pic of a great egret, but it flew off before I could get the camera focused...story of my life.

Rosa 'Orange & Lemons'. I like the sun on the dew drops

these little violas have been coming up in the stones around the pool for several years. I got a pot of them for Mother's Day, I think in 2003. last year my landscaper sprayed them because he thought they were weeds. but they're smarter than he is...they're BAAACk! I really love them and they're easy enough to pull out where you don't want them.

the goldfinches have been having a bad time fending off the house sparrows so they can get to the niger feeder. but here are a pair in a peaceful moment.

Grampapa - #3683488 might be Panchen Lama.

Great photos, everyone.

and here's a little female sitting outside my great room window on the fuschia. I think she was trying to get my help in getting rid of the sparrows. I really think the sparrows are evil.

Ooooh, I really wanted blue delphiniums. I love Pixie's and Victor, yours is such a pretty blue, too. tried to wintersow some, but nada. I think I'll just buy some plants. I need some blue in my garden.

thanks, pirl. I'll take a look at it.

Pirl & Huggle,
Thanks! It's a new camera, I got it 3 days ago so I'm still getting used to it's macro mode. A Canon A630. I LOVE it so far!

Gram, she's just beautiful and does seem to be saying "Help!".
Your garden is just popping with blooms now! I love Rio Samba and Sexy Rexy.

I just got back from a 4th of July BBQ at my brothers GF's house on the water. We had a great time and I even got a little daring!
She has a "Tarzan" swing as I call it...the young-ins call it a rope swing and laughed at me. Then they teased me about just turning 47 and pushing even closer to the big 5-0. I was told not to mess aroung on the rope swing as I was old and might get hurt!! HUH!! I don't think im THAT old!!!!!
Bad day to call me old....my youngest DD turns 25 today, next to the oldest turns 28 tomorrow! NOT OLD!!!!!!!
