Since he seems to have adopted us, I think I should give him a name. Any suggestions?

Resin... Can you tell by his spurs if he is a young cock or an old one?

Wow - ain't nature grand?

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Not that I'm aware of. It has full adult plumage, so at least 2 years old, but beyond that I don't know if it is possible to tell.

How beautiful! Noisy or not, I wouldn't mind having one visit my yard.

Beachwood, NJ(Zone 6b)

I agree they are sooo beautiful!

NW Qtr, AR(Zone 6a)

Now, haint he jes a royal show-off with that tail plumage display! (heehee)

He knows he's a handsome feller. An Indian Blue, isn't it -?-

Name him, 'Stroker' ..
For I bet that before too long, he'll be allowing you guys to touch and stroke him. He's apparently quite taken with you folks, and the goodies you provide ..

He didn't come in Thursday or Friday, but early this morning (Saturday) he came wandering down the driveway and informed me it was time for breakfast.

Breathtaking! Great photo.

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

Oh, my what a great back yard visitor you have there. And he'll keep coming and demanding to be fed as long as you keep feeding him. Sooner or later he will lose a feather in your garden and you can display that as well.
