WOW ! what a trip that was. The hot shop is right on Lake Union and includes room after room of his collections. A whole wall of Curtis photographs of the Native Americans 'in situ', before commercialization. Massive collection of Pendleton blankets, rare basketry, Birchbark canoe from Iowa I believe. He is a collector's collector. The big table in the room with a Pocock Shell (rowing shell) is 85 feet long and minus another 15 feet that had to be removed to get it in the building. One piece from a single tree. But to the glass:

One person takes a glob of clear glass from the furnace, adds a color layer, another layer of clear, rolls and manipulates it for the next stage.
